While Apex NC, North Carolina is a suburb of Raleigh, Koka Booth is a must-see venue. The facility is owned and operated by the Town of Apex NC. The venue is managed by ASM Global. Koka Booth Amphitheatre is named after the former Apex NC mayor Koka Booth. Mayor Booth served his position for twelve years. He returned to his former position at the SAS Institute after retiring from politics. Apex NC honored him by naming the Regency Park Amphitheatre after him. He is currently on the board of directors of Searstone Retirement Community.

The Amphitheatre is located on Regency Parkway in southern Apex NC, which can be accessed by US 1/US 64 via the Tryon Road exit. The venue predominantly serves the surrounding Triangle area and features annual music events like Summerfest with the North Carolina Symphony, Movies by Moonlight with WakeMed, Pickin' in the Pines Bluegrass and Country Music Series, Hob Nob Jazz Series along with many other festivals, races, and popular Music Artists. Hosting over 60 events between the months of April - October, Koka Booth offers something for everyone in a beautiful natural setting.

Cary's Koka Booth Amphitheatre hosts a wide variety of events from concerts and movies to festivals such as the "North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival Apex NC." Set on 14 acres of pine forest in Apex NC's Regency Park right next to Symphony Lake, the amphitheater offers a beautiful setting for live entertainment. It is the summer home of the North Carolina Symphony concert series, and its "Movies by Moonlight" series presents movies and picnicking under the stars in the summer. Visitors can arrive with chairs and blankets for a seat on the lawn or opt for the Crescent deck. This amphitheater has attracted acts from Crosby, Stills & Nash to The Prairie Home Companion radio show to Lady Antebellum.

You can visit the Chinese Lantern Festival on Christmas night and and enjoy the lights and authentic artwork by the water. Parking is easy and fee. You can reserve tickets or print them off online to bypass long lines. The lanterns are beautiful and such a unique and creative display of various types of lanterns. The shows especially were very entertaining and amazing ability that the performers had in juggling vases and tables. It takes about an hour to walk the grounds and see everything. The detail is amazing and the artistry and stories told are great. The show culminated in a fireworks display! Food and beverages are available for purchase and heaters were available on the food deck. Lots of attention to detail and craftsmanship in the display!
